Our Journey
Marcia Rowe, Founder of Facet Therapy, ran an inspiring children's programme called Time2Play. This enabled joint play between parents and children, as well as separate classes for just children. Both groups were themed and tailored to appropriate age groups, focusing on life values and life skills. Marcia had a team of enthusiastic Play Practitioners, who helped to run the live classes.
Kelita Wood joined the team to become the Business Manager for Facet Therapy. With her skills and expertise, Kelita explored opportunities for a successful business. Once the pandemic forced face-to-face classes to end in 2020, Kelita's vision to transition the live classes into children's books proved a success.
Together, Marcia and Kelita rebranded Time2Play to KidsTime2Play, creating a new logo and business venture. The Summer of 2020 saw the release and publication of their first non-fiction children's story called Time2Play: Marc's First Visit. With its educational flair and vibrant colours, the two authors developed strong community links at Explore Learning in Ealing Broadway and local primary schools in and around the Ealing Borough.

Our story continues
The two authors have continued to create inspiring stories, highlighting the remarkable journey of Marc's development. Their second book, titled Careers Week with Marc and Friends, invites children to explore the exciting world of careers. The primary focus of this book is to showcase various job roles and responsibilities, as presented in a curriculum vitae (also known as a resume in some countries). Children can engage in discussions about the importance of pursuing fulfilling jobs and striving for a bright future.
Through independent and shared reading, children enhance their learning skills. The fun of learning is intricately woven into their stories, each capturing essential life skills and values through diverse characters that reflect their community.
Due to the success of both books, the authors have published their first activity books, designed for children aged 3 to 5 years and those aged 6years and above. These activity books include colouring pages, word searches, quizzes, comprehension activities, and emotional literacy, as well as the additional benefit of younger children practising their handwriting skills, along with CV writing for older kids.
This achievement is a true testament to their authorship and a commendable contribution to the borough of Ealing, showcasing two remarkable Black authors in the community. Order your copy today and get your book signed!
